Terms of Service

Effective Date: May 3, 2026.

About starllm

starllm is an AI inference platform that provides unified access to a curated lineup of large language models, multimodal models, and related AI capabilities. The Service may include models operated by starllm, third-party providers, infrastructure partners, open-source model hosts, cloud platforms, or other external providers.

starllm is designed to help developers, creators, businesses, and individual users access multiple AI models through a single interface, API, billing layer, and usage experience. We continuously update our model lineup, routing logic, pricing, documentation, and available features to improve performance, reliability, cost efficiency, and user experience.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to act on behalf of that organization and to bind it to these Terms.

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate access to the Service where we reasonably believe that a user is ineligible, has provided false information, has violated these Terms, or poses a legal, security, operational, financial, or reputational risk to starllm or its users.

2. Description of the Service

starllm provides access to AI models and related services through unified APIs, web interfaces, account dashboards, documentation, billing tools, and other features we may make available from time to time.

The Service may allow you to submit prompts, text, code, files, images, metadata, or other inputs ("Inputs") and receive generated text, code, analysis, images, or other outputs ("Outputs").

Available models, model names, model versions, providers, features, latency, context length, rate limits, supported parameters, pricing, routing behavior, safety filters, and output quality may change at any time. We may add, remove, rename, replace, deprecate, suspend, restrict, or modify any model or feature at our discretion.

Where reasonably practicable, we may provide notice of material changes. However, you understand that changes may occur without prior notice due to provider changes, security issues, abuse prevention, infrastructure constraints, legal requirements, emergency maintenance, or other operational reasons.

3. Third-Party Models and Providers

The Service may provide access to models, APIs, tools, infrastructure, or services operated by third-party providers. These providers may include commercial AI labs, cloud platforms, model hosting services, open-source model operators, payment providers, identity providers, analytics vendors, and other infrastructure partners.

By using a third-party model or provider through starllm, you understand and agree that:

  1. your Inputs, Outputs, usage metadata, files, API parameters, and related technical information may be transmitted to the relevant provider as necessary to process your request;
  2. your use of a third-party model may be subject to that provider's own terms, policies, usage restrictions, safety systems, data processing practices, and availability constraints;
  3. starllm does not control third-party models and is not responsible for their availability, performance, latency, accuracy, safety filters, pricing changes, policy changes, downtime, discontinuation, or refusal to process a request;
  4. a model that is available at one time may later become unavailable, restricted, renamed, rate-limited, modified, replaced, or removed; and
  5. provider-side errors, refusals, filtering, degraded quality, quota exhaustion, or service interruptions may affect your use of the Service.

starllm may route, re-route, reject, modify, normalize, or drop unsupported request parameters where necessary to improve compatibility, prevent errors, control costs, enforce policies, or maintain service stability.

4. Accounts and API Keys

You may be required to create an account to access certain parts of the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account information up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials, API keys, access tokens, organization settings, billing settings, and any other authentication methods associated with your account.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account or API keys, whether or not authorized by you. This includes all usage charges, credit consumption, model calls, automated requests, and activity performed by your employees, contractors, agents, applications, or end users.

You must promptly notify us if you believe your account, API keys, or credentials have been lost, stolen, leaked, compromised, or misused. We may suspend, rotate, revoke, or restrict API keys or account access where we reasonably believe they have been exposed, misused, or used in violation of these Terms.

You may not sell, lease, sublicense, share, or otherwise transfer your account or API keys to third parties without our prior written consent.

5. Payments, Credits, and Billing

Certain parts of the Service may require payment, prepaid credits, usage-based billing, subscriptions, or other paid arrangements. By purchasing credits, enabling billing, or using paid features, you agree to pay all applicable fees and charges.

Credits are consumed based on model usage and other billable units, which may include input tokens, output tokens, cached tokens, image inputs, file processing, tool calls, embeddings, storage, routing, provider fees, taxes, payment processing fees, or other usage metrics depending on the model or feature.

Prices, billing units, minimum charges, rounding methods, supported currencies, supported payment methods, model availability, and provider costs may vary by model and may change from time to time. Unless we expressly state otherwise, prices shown before a request are estimates only and final charges may vary based on actual usage, provider-reported usage, retries, caching behavior, routing, or technical measurement.

You are responsible for reviewing your usage, account balance, invoices, billing settings, and spending limits. We may provide dashboards or usage logs for convenience, but such tools may contain delays, estimates, rounding differences, or provider-side reporting differences.

Unless required by applicable law or expressly agreed in writing, purchased credits are non-refundable once issued. We may, at our discretion, issue refunds, credits, promotional balances, or adjustments in exceptional circumstances, but doing so does not create any obligation to do so in the future.

We may correct billing errors, adjust balances, reverse promotional credits, suspend usage, or limit access where we detect fraud, abuse, chargebacks, payment failure, technical miscalculation, provider-side reporting errors, or violation of these Terms.

If your payment method fails, your account balance is insufficient, or your usage exceeds a spending limit, we may suspend or restrict access to paid features without liability.

Unless otherwise stated, purchased credits do not expire. Promotional credits, trial credits, bonus credits, referral credits, STAR rewards, or campaign-based credits may be subject to separate expiration dates, eligibility rules, usage restrictions, or revocation conditions.

6. STAR Rewards

STAR is a service-native reward credit issued by starllm. STAR may be earned through platform activity, referrals, campaigns, partner programs, community contributions, feedback, bug reports, product events, seasonal promotions, or other activities we make available.

STAR may be used only within starllm to access eligible models, features, or services. STAR is not a stablecoin, security, investment product, deposit, e-money, stored-value instrument, fiat currency, commodity, or claim against starllm or any external asset. STAR is not pegged to any fiat currency, commodity, token, or external asset.

STAR does not represent equity, ownership, voting rights, governance rights, profit-sharing rights, dividend rights, redemption rights for cash, or any promise of future value. STAR is not offered through a public sale, presale, fundraising round, investment program, or financial product.

We may determine, modify, suspend, discontinue, or revoke STAR earning methods, redemption rates, eligibility requirements, campaign rules, referral rules, anti-abuse controls, supported uses, expiration rules, or promotional terms at our discretion, subject to applicable law.

STAR obtained through fraud, abuse, automated account creation, fake referrals, multiple accounts, chargebacks, policy violations, technical manipulation, or other misconduct may be revoked without compensation. We may also suspend or terminate accounts involved in STAR abuse.

STAR has utility only within the starllm Service. We do not support, endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any secondary market, external transfer, resale, speculation, or third-party representation involving STAR.

7. Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms, starllm grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for lawful purposes.

You may use Outputs in your own products, services, research, creative works, internal tools, and commercial applications, provided that your use complies with these Terms, applicable law, third-party provider policies, and any additional terms that apply to specific models or features.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service is appropriate for your intended purpose and compliant with all laws, regulations, industry rules, contractual obligations, and internal policies applicable to you.

8. Prohibited Use

You may not use the Service, directly or indirectly, to:

  1. violate any applicable law, regulation, sanctions program, export control rule, court order, or third-party right;
  2. generate, distribute, or facilitate unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, or infringing content;
  3. create, request, distribute, or facilitate child sexual abuse material, sexual content involving minors, or any content that exploits or sexualizes minors;
  4. create malware, ransomware, credential theft tools, phishing kits, botnets, cyberweapons, evasion tools, exploit chains, or instructions designed to compromise systems or accounts;
  5. conduct spam, phishing, social engineering, impersonation, automated fraud, fake engagement, credential harvesting, or deceptive commercial activity;
  6. generate instructions for serious physical harm, weapons misuse, self-harm encouragement, or unlawful violence;
  7. create deceptive synthetic media intended to mislead, defraud, impersonate, or manipulate others;
  8. make or automate high-impact decisions in areas such as employment, credit, housing, education, healthcare, insurance, legal status, criminal justice, or public benefits without appropriate human review and legal compliance;
  9. submit sensitive personal data, confidential information, trade secrets, regulated data, or third-party personal data unless you have all necessary rights, consents, and legal basis to do so;
  10. reverse engineer, extract, scrape, copy, replicate, benchmark for competitive misuse, or attempt to derive model weights, system prompts, routing logic, source code, proprietary datasets, security controls, or non-public technical information;
  11. resell, sublicense, proxy, rent, lease, or provide API access to third parties without our prior written consent;
  12. bypass, disable, overload, interfere with, or circumvent rate limits, usage limits, billing systems, abuse controls, authentication systems, security controls, or model restrictions;
  13. create multiple accounts, rotate API keys, use automated signups, or otherwise manipulate the Service to obtain excessive free credits, STAR rewards, referral rewards, trial access, or promotional benefits;
  14. use the Service in a way that degrades, disrupts, or imposes unreasonable load on our systems, providers, infrastructure, or other users; or
  15. use the Service for any activity that starllm reasonably determines creates legal, safety, security, operational, financial, or reputational risk.

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and to suspend, restrict, or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

9. User Responsibility for Inputs and Outputs

You are solely responsible for all Inputs you submit and all Outputs you generate, use, store, publish, distribute, or rely on.

AI-generated Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, unsafe, outdated, biased, non-unique, or unsuitable for your intended purpose. You must independently review and verify Outputs before relying on them, especially for legal, medical, financial, employment, safety-critical, regulated, or other consequential decisions.

starllm does not generally pre-screen user Inputs or Outputs. However, we may monitor, review, log, analyze, block, or remove Inputs, Outputs, accounts, or usage activity where necessary to operate, secure, debug, improve, bill, enforce these Terms, comply with law, prevent abuse, or protect users, providers, and starllm.

You are responsible for implementing appropriate human review, disclosures, consent flows, security measures, content moderation, and legal compliance in any product or workflow that uses the Service.

10. Intellectual Property

starllm and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including software, APIs, dashboards, documentation, trademarks, logos, trade names, interfaces, routing systems, billing systems, model configurations, platform design, and all related technology.

Third-party providers and licensors retain all rights in their respective models, weights, APIs, infrastructure, documentation, trademarks, and related technologies.

As between you and starllm, you retain ownership of your Inputs. Subject to your compliance with these Terms and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you own the Outputs generated for you by the Service. We assign to you any right, title, and interest we may have in such Outputs.

You acknowledge that Outputs may not be unique and that the same or similar outputs may be generated for other users. starllm does not represent or warrant that any Output is original, protectable, non-infringing, accurate, confidential, or free from third-party rights.

You grant starllm a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, reproduce, display, and use your Inputs and Outputs as necessary to provide, secure, monitor, bill, debug, enforce, and improve the Service, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

You may not use starllm's name, logos, trademarks, branding, or marketing materials without our prior written consent, except as permitted by law.

11. Privacy and Data

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We may collect and process account information, billing information, usage data, Inputs, Outputs, files, API parameters, technical logs, device information, and related metadata as necessary to operate, provide, secure, monitor, bill, debug, enforce, and improve the Service.

Unless otherwise stated in our Privacy Policy or agreed with you separately, we do not use your API Inputs or API Outputs to train our own foundation models. However, when you use third-party models through the Service, your Inputs, Outputs, and related metadata may be processed by the relevant third-party provider according to that provider's own terms, policies, and data practices.

You are responsible for obtaining all rights, permissions, notices, and consents required to submit personal data, confidential data, regulated data, or third-party data to the Service.

You should not submit highly sensitive personal data, regulated health information, payment card data, government identification numbers, biometric data, trade secrets, or other sensitive information unless you have confirmed that your use case, selected model, provider, and account configuration are appropriate for that data.

12. Usage Limits and Fair Use

We may apply usage limits, rate limits, spending limits, concurrency limits, context length limits, request size limits, file size limits, model access restrictions, geographic restrictions, safety filters, or other technical and commercial controls to protect the stability, security, compliance, and economic sustainability of the Service.

Limits may vary by account, plan, model, provider, region, payment status, risk level, usage history, or operational conditions. We may change, remove, or apply limits at any time.

You may not attempt to bypass or manipulate these limits, including by creating multiple accounts, rotating API keys, distributing traffic across accounts without permission, masking identity, abusing promotions, or using automated methods to evade controls.

We may throttle, reject, delay, queue, modify, or cancel requests where necessary to protect the Service, comply with provider restrictions, prevent abuse, manage capacity, or control costs.

13. Service Availability and Changes

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We strive to maintain reliable access, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, accurate, timely, or error-free operation.

The Service may be unavailable, delayed, degraded, restricted, or interrupted due to maintenance, provider downtime, cloud infrastructure issues, payment provider issues, network conditions, model provider changes, quota exhaustion, abuse prevention, security incidents, legal requirements, or other factors beyond our control.

We may modify, suspend, discontinue, restrict, replace, or deprecate any part of the Service, including specific models, endpoints, APIs, dashboards, pricing tiers, reward programs, promotional campaigns, or account features, at any time without liability.

Where reasonably practicable, we may provide notice of material changes, but we are not obligated to provide advance notice where immediate action is required for security, legal, provider, operational, or abuse-prevention reasons.

14. Beta, Experimental, and Preview Features

We may offer beta, experimental, preview, early-access, or limited-availability models or features. Such features may be unstable, incomplete, inaccurate, discontinued, modified, rate-limited, or subject to additional restrictions.

Beta and experimental features are provided for testing and evaluation only unless we state otherwise. We are not liable for any loss, damage, or reliance arising from your use of beta, experimental, preview, or early-access features.

15. Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, ideas, bug reports, feature requests, or other comments about the Service, you grant starllm a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, distribute, commercialize, and otherwise exploit that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.

You agree that feedback is provided voluntarily and does not create any confidentiality, ownership, payment, or attribution obligation for starllm.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service, all models, outputs, credits, STAR rewards, documentation, dashboards, APIs, and related features are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

Without limiting the foregoing, starllm disclaims all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, availability, security, compatibility, and course of dealing.

starllm does not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, that any model will remain available, that outputs will be accurate or complete, that usage reporting will be error-free, that third-party providers will continue to support any model or feature, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, starllm and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, providers, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, enhanced, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, model outputs, credits, STAR rewards, or service availability, arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, starllm's total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to starllm for the Service in the three months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) USD 100.

The limitations in this section apply to all theories of liability, whether based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, warranty, statute, or any other legal theory, and even if any limited remedy fails of its essential purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability to the extent that such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless starllm and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, providers, and partners from and against any claims, demands, actions, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to:

  1. your access to or use of the Service;
  2. your Inputs, Outputs, applications, products, services, or end users;
  3. your violation of these Terms;
  4. your violation of applicable law or third-party rights;
  5. your misuse of API keys, accounts, credits, STAR rewards, referrals, promotions, or billing systems;
  6. your use of Outputs in any product, service, publication, decision, workflow, or commercial activity; or
  7. any dispute between you and your customers, users, employees, contractors, partners, or other third parties.

We reserve the right to control the defense or settlement of any claim subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate with us in defending such claims.

19. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, throttle, revoke, or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time if we reasonably believe that:

  1. you have violated these Terms or applicable law;
  2. your account, API keys, or usage create legal, security, operational, financial, provider, or reputational risk;
  3. your payment fails, your balance is insufficient, or your account is associated with chargebacks, fraud, or abuse;
  4. your usage may harm the Service, other users, third-party providers, or starllm;
  5. we are required to do so by law, court order, regulator, payment provider, infrastructure provider, or model provider; or
  6. continued access is no longer commercially, technically, or legally feasible.

Upon termination, your right to access and use the Service immediately ceases. We may delete, disable, or retain account data, logs, Inputs, Outputs, billing records, and related information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, legal obligations, and legitimate business needs.

Unless required by applicable law or expressly agreed in writing, termination or suspension does not entitle you to any refund, compensation, damages, or restoration of credits, promotional credits, STAR rewards, or account access.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions related to payments, STAR rewards, intellectual property, privacy and data, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute resolution.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version on our website or otherwise making the updated Terms available. The updated Terms will become effective on the stated effective date.

Your continued access to or use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

21. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Seoul, Republic of Korea, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

22. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with any policies, notices, order forms, pricing pages, documentation, or additional terms incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and starllm regarding the Service.

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, sale of assets, or change of control.

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later. No waiver will be effective unless made in writing by starllm.

Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
